February was a busy month for us at Eric Ross Interiors and I am just so honored at the outpouring of love and fellowship that so many of my past clients and friends gave during the oh-so busy first weekend of February 2019. It was so special that I wanted to share the details with you all.
Our first event we hosted at the historic Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville. It is Nashville’s oldest hotel and only 5 Diamond award-winning hotel. It’s like a little Plaza Hotel if you’ve never had the occasion to experience it yourself. Looking for a venue to host the dinner was no small feat in a city full of modern hotels. The dinner was for my clients who were in my new book, as well as several of my long-time clients who have been so supportive to me, some of them for almost 20 years. So, of course, I wanted it to be noteworthy. The venue was so important. I didn’t want to just have a dinner in a nice room; I wanted to create an experience that represented what Ruthann and I cherish most in terms of hospitality as well as fine design.
The Veranda is a special place in the hotel. It was once open-air veranda on a mezzanine above the Nashville city streets for guests of the Hermitage Hotel to enjoy the breeze. Now it is a lovely, enclosed loggia with stunning architecture that was restored by local design firm Gresham, Smith and Partners. Ruthann incorporated our personal collection of blue and white into the design scheme for a personal touch, as well as the Imperial Blue Collection by Mottahedeh China for dinner service. Geny’s Flowers created a wonderful tableaux of flowering quince, kumquats and nectarines mixed with herbs and candlelight. It was truly magical in that room with soaring ceilings and arched windows, all clad in aged marble. Thanks to all who came and shared our celebration with us.
Special thanks to Evin, for not only capturing these two special events for us, but more importantly for being the amazing talent that brought Enduring Southern Homes to life. The breadth of her talent is vast and her photography portfolio can be enjoyed at Evin Photography.
The second event was our Open House at our new home, Boxwood Hill. We were so surprised that so many of my fans and followers came from near and far to celebrate with us in Nashville, and to tour our remodeled home. Thankfully the weather cooperated and it was a sunny, clear day, which made the festivities even more jubilant. I spent the entire afternoon talking with clients and friends, old and new, who came to show their love and support. Thanks to all who toasted me and my new book at the end, which was the perfect denouement to our weekend of events.
But, this isn’t the end of all the celebrations. We are starting our book tour this month in Atlanta and will be in the following locations this summer:
