When looking back through my top performing Eric Ross Interiors Instagram posts, there seems to be some strong linking elements. I like to think of it as a “Ralph Lauren” style of sorts… It evokes the feeling that I get when dining at his legendary restaurant in New York, The Polo Bar. Isn’t that an amazing memory?! We will go again someday…
Saturated Color, wool plaid, brown wood, velvet, brass, blue and white porcelain, and a Persian rug. It’s a winning combination! How do I know? These images below have garnered the most Instagram “likes,” so I know that those things ring true with many followers.
I’ve always had an affinity for masculine spaces. I think that they have such a classic, timeless appeal. But in today’s all white world, once again I seem to buck the trends. Another selling point if you ask me.

Persian Rug meets dark wood and brass lamps

Velvets, wool plaid combined with dark wood antiques and topped with brass lighting

Blue and white grasscloth, Persian runner and dark wood chests
And last but not least… Animal Trophies…always a hot button topic. This next room stirs up a controversy but also has consistently garnered a lot of affection over the years. AND, how could I forget leather?? Masculine rooms almost, always have leather.

Plaid walls and dark wood combined with rich leather.
What masculine element is your favorite?
