Nashville-based interior designer Eric Ross shares his creative approach to home design in his 1937 Georgian Colonial. When his wife, Ruthann, requested a buffalo check for chair cushions, Ross surprised her by covering the entire room in the fabric, using “Camden Cotton Check” by Schumacher. He enhanced the look by acrylic backing the fabric to create a striking wall covering, resulting in an inviting atmosphere. Their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Prince Darby, also enjoys the cozy space.

Ross’s innovative use of pattern and texture exemplifies his talent for transforming traditional interiors into warm, welcoming environments. His playful design choices reflect both personal style and a commitment to creating comfortable living spaces.

“We acrylic-backed the fabric [‘Camden Cotton Check’ by Schumacher] to hang it as a wall covering. It’s really inviting.”
