This feature, “Family Traditions” published in the September 2021 issue of Dream Kitchens & Baths showcases a traditional kitchen for clients in Tennessee. This press writeup featured a kitchen that captured the nostalgic charm of a classic farmhouse, reimagined in a new Tennessee home. Originally designed as a landlocked space, the kitchen was relocated to provide easy outdoor access, aligning with the homeowner’s love for gardening and homegrown ingredients.
Eric Ross Interiors enhanced the space with farmhouse-inspired touches, including a Dutch door, brick walls, a stone chimney, and reclaimed barn wood floors, along with cheerful apple green accents and handmade tiles. Functional additions such as a drying room, a storm-shelter pantry, and a marble-topped baking station create an inviting, practical space ideal for family memory-making, bringing a sense of warmth and tradition into the modern home just as the client.
“The client loves gardening and drying herbs, so the access to the garden was a key ingredient in designing the layout of the kitchen.”
