Eric Ross brings contemporary and traditional together in this dramatic Franklin, TN living room makeover.

“Eric is amazing. I would recommend Eric to anyone that wants to experience a truly incredible design process, start to finish. He transformed a large but empty living room into a dramatic space that left my wife and me in awe. Eric was able to design a comfortable living space that is trendy, yet classic. Edgy while still remaining elegant and traditional.”

“Most importantly, he took the time to get to know our likes and dislikes to create a room that was based on an accurate interpretation of what my wife and I wanted without blowing our budget. Eric’s knowledge of the industry is vast and he is truly a master of his trade. Eric’s professionalism and passion were on display throughout the process. My wife and I are looking forward to the next project. Eric, you’re a genius!”

This project was for a young professional family moving into a home that was a few years old and decorated in a French country style for the previous owners.  The new owners wanted a more modern, contemporary style to better reflect their age and taste.

The Tudor architectural finishes on the home’s exterior posed a challenge to make the wishes for a modern interior have continuity with the exterior and achieve a cohesive design overall.

A modern interpretation of Arts and Crafts was chosen to bridge the traditional Tudor style with a contemporary, fresh décor the clients wanted inside the home.  Using subtle repetition of geometric shapes and straight lines, the clean interior finishes created an updated and sophisticated Arts and Crafts look.

The dramatic final result not only adds elegance throughout the home, but seamlessly promotes function and balance between the modern and traditional.
